What is the key difference between Eczema and Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that causes itchy, dry and thick patches on the skin. On the other hand, Eczema is a chronic skin condition that results in itchy, red and dry skin rashes. In Psoriasis, the skin shells shed quicker than normal, and Eczema triggers inflammation in the body. In addition, in Psoriasis, the dead skin cells cause psoriasis plaques, and in Eczema, the protein filaggrin gets affected because of gene mutation.
